2025 Kitchen Trends

Here at Durocher’s, we’re always keeping up with new trends in appliances. Flexibility, control, and customization are the main trends of 2025.

Flexibility

When it comes to cooking, flexibility is key. We’re seeing a move away from double wall ovens and a move towards a single wall oven combined with a specialty oven, like a steam oven or speed oven.

Steam ovens add moisture into the cooking process. This is great for cooking veggies, fish, different types of meat, and reheating leftovers.

Speed ovens are a combination of an oven and a microwave. You can use the oven function, the microwave function, or both at the same time. The bonus is that you don’t always have to preheat the oven before cooking.

Control

As building codes and rules evolve, induction cooking rises to the challenge – and rises in popularity. Induction is really the best of both worlds. It’s clean like electric with the control of gas.

While induction cooktops have been the norm, induction ranges are also coming to the market.

Customization

Your home is an expression of you – and your appliances should be no exception. Whether you enjoy the sleek look of stainless steel or the modern style of matte black, your kitchen should reflect your style.

Brands like Café understand just how important this is. No matter the appliance, you can choose between matte white, matte black, and stainless steel. The knobs and handles are also customizable, with colors like brushed black, brushed brass, brushed bronze, brushed copper, brushed stainless steel, and flat black. With 18 options per appliance, you can have your cake and eat it too.
